*BALL SKILLS @ East River Park, Grand St. Mini Field (turf), Manhattan
This 4-week class will concentrate on basic techniques, with popular topics including passing, receiving and shooting, ideally progressing to combination play in order to quickly develop the key areas required for small sided soccer. In order to maximise touches on the ball in the small sided scrimmages, and to allow the coach to truly focus on each individual and their specific developmental needs, the occasional use of a futsal soccer ball provides a positive learning tool. Whether you play indoor soccer, outdoor soccer or you just want to learn some new skills and improve a little fitness, we are confident that our progressive coaching methods will be of benefit to you whilst allowing you to practice your skills in a fun and relaxed environment. This session is open to players of all abilities. Shinguards are encouraged for the scrimmage section of the class.
*GAME SPECIFIC @ East River Park, Grand St. Mini Field (turf), Manhattan
An original, high-energy, 75 minute skills and tactics class. Unlike any other class, this curriculum will have a focus on skill development and team strategy for the opening 50 minutes, followed by 25 minutes of competitive scrimmages. In this session, numbers permitting, you will experience a new approach that will expose you to different patterns of play, formations, whilst highlighting the roles and responsibilities of each position in a scrimmage based setting. An added feature of this class structure will see each team instructed separately by the coach, who will determine team shape, strategy and deliver team-talks at relevant intervals. This session, due to the slightly more advanced nature, speed and skill expectancy level is better suited to intermediate level players, both individuals or an entire team. Shinguards are encouraged for the scrimmage section of the class.
THIS CLASS WILL RETURN SPRING 2012

In the event of any player missing a lesson, 510soccer will attempt to offer make-up sessions, however this cannot be guaranteed. Any potential make-up class must be undertaken within the same semester as the original class, space permitting. Advanced warning of a potential absence or need to make-up is appreciated. Thanks for your understanding.
